A SYSTEM THAT REGULATES ITSELF
Principles of the American Political System
Every system does not regulate itself, that is why we have closed, open and PID systems, their effectiveness is synonymous with how they balance and regulate themselves, you need to get a piece of engineering once in a while (smiles), also some are more sophisticated and sensitive these features affect how the balance and regulate themselves to achieve the required outcome. Having that in mind let's delve in.
I strongly believe that the two major political parties in the United States of America exist to curtail the excesses of each other. Their founding fathers understood this and drafted and crafted the two parties' guiding policies and principles to rise to the occasion by understanding this concept and also knowing their assignments at critical and threshold seasons of their nation whenever the need arises.
While one tries to consciously create an egalitarian society the other believes that the very ideal that makes us human beings from the foundation of the earth should not be eroded, at all times this argument creates a balance, the system knows exactly how to juxtapose the political parties that resonates more with the thinking at every political cycle.
When the other becomes so high-handed, careless, and petty, increasing tension, chaos and war-prone the system knows how to reverse itself to subtlety, decency, stability and decorum. My concern is that this system of regulation does not play to the gallery irrespective of the personality on the political divide of the party that tilts towards ascertaining this balance. Through these measures extremities of the two major political parties have always been curtailed.
As an I & S engineer let me try to give a view of a system so that it can all make sense as you reminisce, just simply a set of things, entities, parts or components joined or related by some form of interaction or function, which act together to achieve some objective or purpose. For a system to be what it is, it must have a purpose and that purpose is achieved through setting objectives. So anything that has a purpose and is created, established, produced, or manufactured in line with a clear objective functions as a system. That was fun, right?
While one political ideology may go the extra mile to negotiate with diverse schools of thought and offer concessions to their beliefs, the other may send a strong message of holding on to the foundational fundamentals and a firm outlook on social policies, the systems will balance itself to the side that will maintain their longevity and world power status. Else in the next fifty years, an absolute system of profanity might be created and that status lost, so you can imagine that their founding leaders envisaged a future where sanity should be maintained regardless of the obvious prevailing sentiments in that particular political cycle. This balance often creates major offsets for unseating incumbency as the case in the last two consecutive cycles, or even one divide maintaining it after two consecutive terms, system balancing itself always plays out.
The interesting thing is that whether the balancing favours your political divide in that particular cycle or not, the gratitude and gracefulness always exhibited at the end are worthy of note. As I often posit, when things happen at this level my concern has always been about the ripple effect that it creates on other democracies, time will justify.
As we hit a home run, one of the interesting takeaways in this cycle was a quote from President Biden, "...we don't need to love our country only when we win...", and a strong message that the system is fair and unbiased. That is an epic response that the other divide never gave in the last cycle.
